Is it good practice to allow my iPhone 15 Pro Max to charge via cable overnight?
Will this damage or degrade the battery in any way?
Or is it better to disconnect from charging once at full charge?

My advice is to use Optimized Charging and charge your phone all night, every night. You phone will learn the normal time you take it off the charger and it will only charge to 80% overnight and shortly before you need it in the morning, it will continue to charge to 100% so you are ready for the day.

Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging > Optimized Battery Charging
Connect the power adapter to the phone at night and leave it connected all night.....every night.
It is impossible to overcharge the phone using this setting and you start each day with the battery at 100%
