Unable to update AirPods 3rd gen firmware

Ive had these airpods for a while now but i noticed the firmware never changed and always stayed on 4E71. I have tried force updating them in all ways and nothing new happened. I have also tried resetting them many times and still nothing. They are genuine and NOT FAKE and theyre still in apple warranty. Any help would be appreciated
