How do I permanently delete copied photos from text message info on iPhone?

When I go to text messages and I click on the name and then go to their info the messages shows the photos and the photos are copying themselves in the hundreds, and when I try to delete them, they’ll do it but then they come right back again so they will not stay deleted and I don’t know how they’re copying themselves in the hundreds.
