How do I completely remove my Apple Account from an iPhone 12 Pro?

I have just upgraded to Iphone 15 pro so I tried to repurpose the old Iphone 12 pro for someone else to use. For some personal reasons I can't just "erase all contents and settings" so I have to do it manually. I logged off from the settings app on the phone and removed it from my device list, then removed all the apps that wasn't preinstalled. But the user who have the phone now still gets the popup to input the password for my ID from time to time. Screen time was disabled successfully but the problem persists. This is really annoying.

I'm posting to ask if there's a way we can clear out all the old account info from that phone? Is there anything that I've missed? Thank you.

Have you tried erasing your iPhone this way to make sure that everything on it was deleted, including the links to your apple account?

Erase iPhone using your Mac or Windows device

  1. Connect your iPhone to your computer with a USB or USB-C cable.
  2. On your Mac, click  to open a Finder window, or open the Apple Devices app on your Windows device.
  3. If your Mac is using macOS 10.14 or earlier, or your Windows device doesn’t have the Apple Devices app, open iTunes instead.
  4. Click the iPhone icon in the Finder sidebar (below Locations), then click General at the top of the window.
  5. Click Restore iPhone, then click Restore to confirm.
  6. Note: If you’re signed in to Find My, you need to sign out before you can click Restore.
