Small raised dots on MacBook Air M2 screen – what could this be?

Hi everyone,

I have a MacBook Air 13" M2 (2022) and just a few days ago I noticed three tiny raised dots on the screen – like little surface spots. They look almost like something dried or stuck on the screen, but I tried cleaning them gently with a microfiber cloth and even followed some tips I found online, but nothing worked. The spots are slightly raised and can be felt under the finger, which makes me worried.

Some people online mentioned that it could be damage to the anti-reflective coating or even pixel issues, but I’m not sure what it really is.

Has anyone experienced something similar?

Do you know what this could be, and whether it’s fixable?

Also, is there an email address to contact Apple directly? I’d really like to know if this can be repaired and whether it would be expensive to fix.

Thanks in advance for your help!

The first image looks like droplets dried and stuck to the display. That might clean off.

The second looks like display damage, assuming that’s supposed to be uniform grey and not something in the displayed image, and not something stuck in the display in the same place as the discoloration.
