How do I resolve the persistent 'Software Update' popup after updating to iOS 18.5 on iPhone 15 Pro Max?

Updated my iPhone 15 ProMax to IOS 18.5 from whatever the most recent publicly available version was. Immediately upon completion, the popup that states: SOFTWARE UPDATE Your iPhone has been updated to iOS 18.5 showed up and like a bad relative, won't go away...when I press OK the OK bar blinks but that's all it does. Can't hard reboot the iPhone, plugged it into this MacBook Pro after Sequoia 15.5 completed updating but iPhone doesn't show in Finder or in Music. Now what?

Contacted Support here's the process to reboot when your screen is unresponsive: (in quick succession) press volume up, release then press volume down, release then press & hold the right side button until you see the Apple.

iPhone rebooted and all is well
