How do I cancel a GuitarTuna yearly subscription and request a refund?

I recently signed up for a free trial of the GuitarTuna app, but it didn’t work for me. I uninstalled the app after a few days and did not intend to continue with the subscription.

However, I was charged for a yearly subscription on May 11, 2025. I kindly request a cancellation of the subscription and a full refund for the charge.

Hello!

Apple is not here. We are other uses like yourself. Here are some instructions to cancel subscriptions: If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

And to request a refund, see: Request a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

Have a great day!

FYI, to cancel a free trial/subscription, you do that by following the steps here:

View or cancel app subscriptions on iPhone - Apple Support

Apple has no idea what apps you have on your phone and do not monitor whether you are using an app or uninstall them. You will always want to cancel a subscription and not just stop using or delete an app. The same is true for subscriptions on third party services like Netflix or Amazon Prime, it makes no difference if you use the service or not, you will continue to be charged until you actually cancel. That includes free trials.

H1290 has included the link to request a refund and that should be used, although refunds are not guaranteed. In most cases all transactions in the App Store are final, but at times Apple may provide a compassionate refund. It should not be expected though.
