How do I cancel AirNav app subscription and request a refund?

I took a 2 week free trial to the AirNav app and can't find how to cancel. I can;t get it to work on my ipad and can;t get in to the app. I want to cancel but they have already charged me a year's subscription . How can I cancel and ask for a refund? It is managed through Apple.

I already asked on the Air Nav website.

Any help appreciated

Thank you

Confirm you have canceled any subscription automatic renewal (if you simply delete an app this does not cancel subscriptions):

Review the information in this support article by clicking on the link to learn how to cancel a subscription from Apple. ➔ If you want to cancel a subscription from Apple - Apple Support

If you subscribed to this directly with a third party, see: About purchases not billed through the App Store or the App Store’s In-App Purchase system - Apple Support instead. You need to work directly with the vendor, not Apple.

Notes:

• "If you signed up [which involves very intentional steps by you or a user of your device] for a free or discounted trial subscription and you don't want to renew it, cancel it at least 24 hours before the trial ends." Note that by using an app like this you are automatically agreeing (always read the fine print) to this happening, are responsible for reading if this will happen, and canceling the subscription before the trial ends.

• Deleting an app does not cancel a subscription.

• An existing subscription will normally continue until the end of its term and may then renew automatically. Stopping automatic renewal is effectively canceling it. "If you don’t see Cancel Subscription, then the subscription is already canceled and won't renew." The "Expires" date means the current subscription will just run until then. Note special conditions for some countries: About canceling subscriptions in Germany, Israel, South Africa, or Türkiye - Apple Support

• Read the article to see what to do about subscriptions that do not appear in your list. If you still can't find a subscription, contact Apple Support using the link at the end of the support article.

• Canceling a subscription does not automatically start a refund.

• If you had a free trial previously, you do not get a second one and a subscription will start immediately.

What do you have showing in your purchase history:

View your purchase history for the App Store and other Apple media services - Apple Support

Any amount in red or showing as pending has not been able to be processed, and you cannot request a refund on a pending charge. Cancelling a subscription after it was charged does not refund your money it would just prevent it from being renewed next year.

When did you sign up for the free trial and when did you cancel? Free Trials must be cancelled at least 24 hours before the subscription start date to avoid being charged. If you already received a charge, that would indicate that it was not canceled 24 hours before the subscription start date as indicated on the Authorization screen where that message is seen and requires you to double click the side button.

I want subscription cancelled and a refund.
See letter above to outline problems that hve been encountered

You are not speaking to Apple here and we cannot grant any refund request. We have provided information for you with links that may help, including:

  • Contacting Apple directly
  • Information to determine Pending charges and what that means as far as refunds and cancellation.
  • How to request a refund as long as a charge is not pending.
  • When free trials need to be cancelled to avoid the subscription charge. Once the charge occurs, it is too late.

We simply don't know the details here to provide further assistance or explanation, so your only other option is to contact Apple directly where they can view your account to find this information.
