iPhone 16e – Slo-Mo 240 fps Issue

I would like to report a recurring issue I’ve encountered on my iPhone 16e running iOS 18.4.1, specifically when using the Camera app’s Slo-Mo feature set to 240 frames per second (fps), both in 1080p and 720p resolutions.

Here are the symptoms:

  • When I switch to Slo-Mo at 240 fps, the recording either doesn’t start at all, or it stops instantly after pressing the record button.

  • This issue is not present when Slo-Mo is set to 120 fps, even at the same resolutions.

  • The issue occurs regardless of battery mode (Low Power Mode is off), with no apps running in the background, and while the device temperature is normal.

  • After I restart the device, 240 fps recording becomes temporarily functional again.

  • I’ve confirmed that this problem is not isolated — I’ve read similar user experiences in global Apple Communities, also reported by iPhone 16e users. This suggests that the issue may be related to the current iOS version (18.4.1), possibly a software-level bug.

Since I use the Camera app extensively for creative purposes, this malfunction affects my overall experience. I’m reporting it in the hopes that it will be investigated and resolved in a future update.

Thank you for your attention and support.
