I bought last week 16 pro max and since the day of purchase in the settings I did not have the option to change the code or face id it is simply not there, I set the code and face id when activating the phone. I have already tried restarting the phone and updating it from ios 18.4.1 to ios 18.5 and I still do not have it. what can I do to make this option appear

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content and Privacy Restrictions > Scroll down to Allow Changes to Passcode and Face ID. Make sure that is allowed.

I believe you are referring to another passcode, which is the Screen Time passcode. The Support Article below explains the steps on how to change the Screen Time passcode either for your personal device or a child's.

The Screen Time Passcode is different than the Face ID & Passcode option in Settings. Changing the Screen Time Passcode is done by the Organizer of the Family Plan by going to Settings > Screen Time and choosing the Family members name where you should then see the option to Change Screen Time Passcode.
