Why are my paired AirTags not discoverable?

I am a rental company. I paired 20 AirTags to my account and I can’t see any of them.

Re: "I paired 20 AirTags to my account and I can’t see any of them".

You may have exceeded the maximun number of AirTags for one Apple Account ... last I heard sixteen was ok?

You can check: "which devices appear in your Apple Account device list, how to find your device details, and how to remove a device." Check your Apple Account device list to find where you’re signed in - Apple Support

Add an AirTag in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says: "View more details about an AirTag

When you register an AirTag to your Apple Account, you can view more details about it in the Find My app.

  1. Go to the Find My app  on your iPhone.
  2. Tap Items at the bottom of the screen, then tap the AirTag you want to see more details about.
  3. Tap the name of the AirTag to see the serial number and the firmware version.

If the battery level is low, a message appears below the location of the AirTag. You can also see a low battery indicator next to the name of the AirTag in the Items list."

You may want to check requirements for an AirTag to work, and how to set-up multiple AirTags one at a time.

Apple support's online article: Locate an AirTag or other item in Find My on iPhone - Apple Support

Eg: says: "You can use the Find My app to locate a missing AirTag or third-party item that you’ve registered to your Apple Account. If you have an iPhone 15 or later model, you can also find their exact location.

Learn how to register an AirTag" There is much more info. in the above linked article itself.
