ECG not getting recorded in Apple Watch

Hello everyone,

I live in Iran and I suffer from sleep apnea, vascular issues, and heart arrhythmia. I also have a sensitivity to traditional ECG devices. My doctor recommended using an Apple Watch specifically for real-time heart monitoring.

However, I was disappointed to find out that ECG and heart health features are disabled in Iran. These features are not a luxury for me – they are medically necessary.

I would like to ask Apple: why are these critical health features blocked in Iran, and is there any plan to enable them?

I truly hope this will be considered, as health should not be restricted by region.

Thank you for your attention.

ECG is

viewed as a medical device which mean it require official approval from the

government of a country before it's legal for apple to offer these are

the countries which has provided with said approval so far

watchOS - Feature Availability - Apple

ECG implies

that citizens' medical data be stored by a foreign third-party company without

individual approval by the government of said country, and that is not

something all countries feel comfortable with.

the government in Iran may not be inclined to approve a feature which could result in it's citizens health data ending up on an apple server which might be in Usa

about asking apple then apple is not here
