Disable entering verification code every time in Icloud Passwords extension in Firefox

I am using the icloud password extension in firefox on my macbook and every time I open the browser and have to fill in a password it asks me for a code that appears in a pop-up. Would there be any way to not ask me for this code or at least instead of entering a code it would be using touch id?

Why isn't my computer trusted? Every time I login into this forum I check off "remember me" and I request for my computer to be trusted. Regardless what I do, 2 factor authentication is imposed on me, despite the fact that the following is displayed: "trust this browser? If you choose to trust this browser, you will not be asked for a verification code the next time you sign in". I really do not care for 2 factor authentication for this forum, I never asked for it. How can I get rid of it? Thanks.

Can I still use my verification code if I set up security keys While setting up verification keys in Mac OS X Settings a message is being presented: 'A physical security key replaces verification codes ....' . Does that mean that verification codes can not be used for 2 Factor Authentication as an alternative to security keys?
