iPhone 12 Pro stuck in recovery mode

I connected my iPhone 12 Pro to my windows laptop through the Apple Devices app. It said that there was an update available so I selected that. An error message said that the update couldn’t be installed (unknown error (75). 067E.004B) and I needed to restore. I clicked on that and got an error message saying it couldn’t be restored (unknown error occurred (1109).06B4.0000). The phone then stuck with the Apple logo so I forced restart and was left with the recovery screen (ie a picture of a cable and a laptop.) This prompts Apple devices app to say that the phone can’t be updated and must be restored and the whole process repeats and fails again. What can I do? Thank you.

I managed to resolve this but I’m not sure which action or combination of actions led to this result so I thought I’d just detail what I did next to offer some hope to others with a similar problem.

When I raised the issue I was travelling so the first step on my return was to try the update/restore process on a different computer. Initially I used iTunes and the update and restore processes both started but failed part way through. Then I tried the same with the Apple devices app and they again both failed tho this time there were no error messages it was just that the app stopped “seeing” the iPhone and the processes stopped. Then - still in Apple devices app - I tried restoring (rather than trying updating first) and the iPhone was successfully restored. As noted above, I don’t know why it worked.
