In Library view, you can use the Select button
to choose the pictures you want to delete. You can actually just run your finger over a bunch of pictures
to get lots of them in one go. Then you tap the trash can.
This will remove the pictures from your Photos Library, but they are still on the iPhone, and they can be seen in the Recently Deleted view in Utilities at the bottom of the window.
(If your phone has been "customized," then things like Recently Deleted could be in a different spot."
If you look in Recently Deleted,
You can see the pictures you deleted. As a safety feature, they will stay there for 30 days before they are permanently removed from the phone. Until then, you can Recover the pictures using the More (•••) menu.
If you are absolutely sure you don't need that safety, you can choose to "Delete" the Recently Deleted pictures, and they will be destroyed.
