White screen in WhatsApp on my iPhone 7 Plus

First try a forced restart, if that doesn't work reinstall the app. If that doesn't work contact the app developer for help with their software.

Try a forced restart.

• Press and quickly release the volume up button

• Press and quickly release the volume down button

• Press and hold the side button.

• When the Apple logo appears, release the button.

I highly suggest you contact WhatsApp support and inform them of the issue. We or Apple cannot do anything about it. For what it’s worth, many other WhatsApp users have experienced this same issue, especially after updating. Also they have released almost a dozen updates just in the past month which shows they have a lot of issues to solve.
