My kids are getting old enough to realize they can sneak downstairs and turn on the tv and watch shows at 2am 🤣
is there a way to disable network connectivity or apps on Apple TV after a certain time or when running a shortcut or HomeKit automation?

Unfortunately, tvOS does not have the same Screen Time feature as their other platforms do. If you'd like, you could give them feedback at https://apple.com/feedback.
In the meantime, you mentioned disabling network connectivity. Depending on your network provider and/or router, you may be able to set WiFi restrictions for individual devices. For example, my household currently uses Google WiFi, which provides this functionality. I would recommend searching online to see if your provider has this capability.

Ah. I have very limited experience with XFi, but as far as I know you can set a schedule for network pauses. Check out this article: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/managing-devices-with-xfi-faqs. Also do note that iCloud Private Relay is not available for tvOS, so you will not have to worry about that aspect.

I definitely have that capability on my router. I was hoping to find a easy/lazy route where if I set my bedtime shortcut it could then disable those TVs so that I don’t have to trigger two different locations but oh well.
Ah. Could you tell me what provider you're using? I might be able to help you find a solution to automate it in some way.
