my airpods immediately disconnect as soon as i take an airpod out.

i was connecting my friends airpods that had been lent to me, and i was connecting them to play music which worked perfectly fine, but once i had taken an airpod out, it disconnected. it kept doing the same thing and only stayed connected to my phones bluetooth as long as it was in the case.

Why do my AirPods disconnect right after I connect them? I just brought a pair of AirPods from someone else and when I wear them they are making the disconnect sound every other second pretty much and won’t automatically connect to my phone. I’ve tried to reset them but each time I do they come back as his AirPods [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The AirPods are not on your apple account because you have lent them, Most likely that is the issue,
