How is my stolen iPhone removed from Lost mode and Find My with all the passwords and security?

so my iphone got stolen and the morning it got stolen i was able to put the phone in lost mode because it was still turned on...but later on the thief turned it off and it was showing its last location for a while but after 24hrs it just showed "offline" and "no location found" on find my...im so frustrated,my genuine question is this...with all the security measures apple offers and all the two factor authentication plus lost mode that i put the device in...will it still be possible for the phone to be bypassed and used....thats my first question,my second question is this...im aware iphone has find my network which allows the stolen phone even when switched off to use other apple devices to ping its location to find my but thats not working for me,is it because im in nigeria because most of the find my features i see online were really not available for me.

If the phone is locked – first with a passcode, now with Lost Mode – and the thief does not know and cannot easily guess your credentials – they cannot bypass the Activation Lock.

Beware of messages you may get from "Apple" or from the "Police" saying that your phone has been found – and instructing you to click on a link, or enter your Apple ID and Apple ID password, or remove your stolen phone from your list of trusted devices.

These messages are not from people who want to help you, but from the thief, fence, or other such person – who wants to remove Activation Lock (and "make your phone their own") and possibly rummage through your data as well.

yes i understand you...but like i said im in nigeria and ive seen first hand alot of times how iphones get bypassed then jailbroken by tech boys using tools like "4ukey" e.t.c,most of the times they dont even need any information from the previous owner...all they need is a laptop and a set of softwares, although after the whole process the phone is usually unable to use the mobile network and will now become a "wifi only iphone"...im hoping this is something apple is aware of
