How to bypass Activation Lock on iPhone 11 Pro Max without Apple ID or receipt?

My father reset his old iPhone 11 Pro Max (iOS 18) without signing out of iCloud. He never used the Apple ID after setup (thought it failed), so we don’t know the email/password.

We tried:

- His old passcode (worked before reset, but not for Activation Lock).

- Every possible email/password combo.

- Restoring multiple times.

The phone was a gift (no receipt). Is there any way to unlock it? Apple’s ‘Use Previous Passcode’ option didn’t help. Thanks!

You would either need the original Apple Account login or the original proof of purchase receipt from Apple to remove the Activation Lock, there are no other ways to bypass it. Apple’s “Use Previous Passcode” is only designed give you access to your device pass the passcode lock if you recently changed the passcode within 72 hours, not to bypass Activation Lock.

Or you can try contacting whoever gave you the gift for the receipt.

Otherwise, the iPhone will be unusable to anyone.
