Assuming it's a Second Gen iPad Pro from 2017 (iPad Pro (12.9-inch) (2nd generation) - Technical Specifications - Apple Support) with a Lightning port and the adapter is the original USB-A adapter, you need a Lightning to USB-A adapter.
Apple still makes those:
Lightning to USB Cable (1 m) - Apple
Or you can get a 3rd party one. Ugreen, Anker, Belkin are high quality makers of cables.
