Why can't I put my iPhone passcode in after factory reset?

I reset my phone lastnight, I had to update it during updating it wouldn't load even after the update time was finished. So I restarted it and now I can’t even swipe my phone up to put in my passcode. I tried hard rebooting it, it worked once but it still only showed the screen so I could put in my passcode for a split second and now it won’t reboot at all and I still can’t put my passcode in
