“No Internet” error when connecting to iPhone hotspot

Hello,

I’m experiencing an issue with the Personal Hotspot feature on my iPhone 13 mini (iOS [insert your iOS version, e.g. 18.5 ()22А76]).

My iPhone has a stable mobile internet connection, but when I enable the hotspot over Wi-Fi, other devices (Windows laptop and MacBook) can connect to the hotspot, but they don’t get internet access — it says “No Internet”.

I have already tried the following steps:

– Confirmed that mobile internet works on the iPhone

– Enabled “Maximize Compatibility”

– Restarted all devices

– Reset network settings

– Reset all iPhone settings

– Tested with multiple devices

– Also tested with another laptop (same result)

Internet sharing via USB also doesn’t work. My mobile carrier confirmed there are no restrictions on tethering.

I’d appreciate your help in resolving this issue.

Thank you!

You were absolutely right — the issue was with my carrier.
I contacted them, and after some checks on their end, the problem is now resolved.
Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction — really appreciate your help!

Yep, the Hotspot feature is controlled by your carrier. Unfortunately with customer service nowadays, the first response you will hear most frequently is that it is not their problem. It can take extra effort to get the matter escalated if necessary. Good Job on getting this resolved and thanks for the update that will also help others.
