How do I resolve text notification problems on iPhone X?

Again, thank you all for your feedback. I have some good news and some bad news. First some feedback, we both have unique Apple accounts and id's. Now for the good news when I look at her message to me, I decided to swipe the message left before opening it and i saw that her iph said "unmuted & delete option". So i tapped and chgd that to "muted". Now my iph i did the same with her message to me and when i swiped it to the left it also said "muted & delete" so i changed that to "unmuted". i can send her a message and her txt tone rings. that's the good news but now the bad news (but not really) when she sends a txt message to me I Do Not get a txt tone on my iph but my ipad rings that i got a txt from her.

It seems that the issue is on which apple device should I make sure that switch is listed as "Muted or Unmuted" and just play with it on all 4 of Apple devices until they all ring with a txt message either going to her or from her to me. What i don't know at the moment is if flipping these switches will consequently mute any message she or I get from other family and friends.

Thanks for your reply but alas it didn't work. I made sure all my notification were the same as Her's. I then sent her a txt and while it shows the little #1 on her screen still no sound. I then sent me a txt from her phone and my txt tone sounded. So, i don't know what to do next.

Yes her volume is appropriate. It is set to 80%. I know when she gets a txt from anyone else her txt tone sounds just not f my txts
