Face ID barely works half the time and I want to take it off. Someone else asked this question but I don’t see “Face ID and Passcode” in Settings.
Apple please bring back Touch ID. I hate taking a mug shot just to use my own device……
If you don't see Face ID & Passcode in Settings, open Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions > Make sure the Switch in Allow Changes to for Passcode & Face ID is turned on

Personally, Face ID has never been unreliable on any iPhone I've owned since iPhone X was released several years ago, I wouldn't be thrilled to see Touch ID make a return.

it's still in my settings->face ID & passcode
if you in settings touch the display and move the finger a bit down you will get a search field where typing
face should also reviele the option
about addressing apple then
these forums are user helping other users like yourself, it's sort of going
to a physical apple store and asking other customers there advice
so maybe you wish to try
FYI:
TouchID was recently offered on iPhone SE (3rd Gen) which may still be available from some Apple-authorized outlets.
