How to keep dirt out of the USB charging part on an iPhone?

My iPhone 15 Pro stopped charging yesterday. I planned to go to the local Apple Store today and have them look at it, planning to get another phone as this one is still under Apple Care.

Saw the posts here about cleaning the dirt out of the port. After the fourth try in cleaning it with a sharp toothpick, I finally could plug the charging cable into the USB port and it started to charge again. It is very hard to see dirt inside the tiny opening. Canned compressed air didn't do the job.

I have seen many posts here with this same problem (and same fix). How can we keep dirt out of the charging port? Is there a cover we can use?

I keep a silicone plug in the USB-C port and use wireless charging almost exclusively. Avoids a lot of headaches.

There are a number of products out there on Amazon that consist of a USB-C 'plug' that you put in the phone and has a magnetic attachment for a charging cable. I've never used one of those, but they look interesting. Some of them claim to carry data as well as charging the phone.
