Why does it show TrueDepth camera is being used by another app on iPhone?

iPhone 17 Pro using camera when switching apps I just discovered my iPhone 17 Pro is using the camera when switching apps, unlocking the phone, swiping the top-right menu, and so on. I observe the green light, and by swiping the top-right menu, I see in the privacy menu: Camera -> Camera, with on the left the camera lens icon, on the right the green video icon (see screenshot). It may be related to some setting, but I could not find anything specific. It doesn't convey trust, as I feel being watched all the time. [Edited by Moderator]

iPhone camera is constantly being accessed My camera is consistently accessed spontaneously, despite turning all camera permissions off in my privacy and security settings. When the green light comes on, and I view which app is accessing the camera, it shows the camera app itself is doing so. Is this a bug or should I be concerned about malware?

Swipe down from the top right of your iPhone to open Control Center and see what application is using the camera.
