I had never heard of Whatnot, but it appears it's a selling platform. The first place I'd check to give access to the camera for this app would be as follows: Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera - look to see if there is a switch for Whatnot and if there is, turn it on there.

The app must first ask you for permission to access the camera. After it does this you will see the permission at Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera.

  • If you don't see it there, then the app has not asked you for permission yet and it may be due to a bug in the app that the developer needs to resolve.
  • If it did ask you for permission and you previously denied it, then you will see the app in the Settings location noted and the app will have the toggle turned off for Camera use, and all you will need to do is turn it on.
