iPhone camera won’t stop zooming out

my iphone zoom camera keeps zooming out till 0.5 when I film shots. When I’m over the 1x zoom and then zoom out with my finger then the camera doesn’t stop at 1x it just keeps going and then it ruins my good quality shot so how do i make it stop automatically to 1x zoom

To avoid accidentally switching to the ultra-wide lens, use these precise zoom controls instead of pinching:


  • Toggle Zoom: Tap the 1x button at the bottom of your screen to cycle through preset zoom levels (e.g., 0.5x, 1x, 2x/3x, depending on your model).
  • Fine-tune Zoom: For precise control, press and hold the 1x button until the zoom wheel appears. Carefully adjust the wheel to select exactly 1.0x.
