Unable to connect my iPhone 16 Pro Max to Wi-Fi after iOS 18.5 update

So as of Thursday after me and my kids phones ALL updated to IOS18.5 cannot connect to our home WiFi now. All of a sudden after 3 years of no issues? The one Android phone in the house has no issues connecting. We thought it was the WiFi router, so we got a new one, and nope. We’ve done all the things, reset network settings, hard restart, airplane mode off & on, restarted phones and WiFi router hundreds of times, reset network settings, disable VPN and private network and so on and so forth. Literally nothing is helping. It’s this update. I need this update off our phones until they fix it. Apparently it’s happening to many others but not everyone. We’ve called Apple twice they don’t know how to fix it? I’ve seen past discussions on here about this with this update and I need to know if anyone has found the solution for this? PLEASE! We are in a dead zone at my house for our T-Mobile service, so without WiFi our phones do not work at all! (That’s also something we will be changing here soon) but in the mean time I need this fixed. Our phones connect to other WiFi’s it’s literally just this one all of a sudden.

Do you use a VPN on your phone? Almost ALL of the people who have such issues are unfortunately using a useless, won't protect you, completely not needed on an iPhone - VPN. If you are, at a minimum turn it off. Better yet, if you are, completely remove the profile from your phone in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management. The only people who need a VPN are those who are required to use one to access employer or school private servers.

If the restart mentioned above does not resolve this, have you tried connecting to Wi-Fi in another location?

How many Wi-Fi routers are in use here? One router from the ISP, or are multiple Wi-Fi routers in use?

As for connectivity, iOS and iPadOS 18.5 have been working fine locally, and I’m not aware of any widespread reports of Wi-Fi issues here in the forum.

I have found on here other discussions of it happening to them from this update. And unfortunately I’ve done all those things. We have one router, that we’ve used for 3 years with NO issues. Which we also got a new router on Saturday as we thought it was the router. It’s not. The Android connects fine. It’s just our Apple phones after the update. I’m at a loss here
