How do I reset my Lock Screen password when the old one no longer works?

I tried to reset my screen locked password & it won't let me but old password no longer works. Now having all kinds of problems & may be hacked???

Do you mean Lock Screen passcode? It is nearly impossible for someone to remotely hack your iPhone and modify the passcode. The passcode is stored in the Secure Enclave, which is the most secure place in your iPhone where the passcode cannot be changed, removed, or modified in any way.


It's possible your screen digitizer may have failed which registers touch. But first try resetting your iPhone and see if that works. If you forgot your iPhone passcode or your iPhone is disabled - Apple Support
