Apple ID Verification Failed

I tried the "erase all content and settings" to clear the cache and other memory. It did the job, but after that I keep getting the "Apple ID Verification failed" error whenever I try to login on my Iphone.

The same Apple ID is working fine for PC login. I have done the reset many times before as well but this is the first time it is happening to my Iphone.

The following information may help to understand the problem:

  • My IOS software is up to date and it shows no pending downloads.
  • I have updated the account password through PC login after this issue.
  • I tried resetting network/all settings.
  • I've tried time and Date and other minor fixes that could cause a glitch.

Can someone please bail me out here?

Re: "Apple ID Verification Failed : I tried the "erase all content and settings" to clear the cache and other memory. It did the job, ... I keep getting the "Apple ID Verification failed" error whenever I try to login on my Iphone."

Wondering why verification fails ... eg: perhaps you were not getting a verification code to enter ?

or

As you changed the Apple Account password on your PC, you may be still signed in to your Apple Account with the old password in use (including for FaceTime, Messages etc).on the iPhone: You may need to sign out of FaceTime and Messages if they are signed in using the old password, and sign back in with the new password.

You could check you are signed in to your Apple Account (on the iPhone) with the correct Apple Account details:

Eg: Sign in to your Apple Account on the web or in your device settings - Apple Support

says:

Open the Settings app. Tap Apple Account at the top.

You could try logging in to your Apple Account online : https://account.apple.com/

There you can check (or edit) all the details to ensure they are up-to-date.

If you have difficulty getting a verification code:

You may be able to get a verification code from iPhone settings, if not by text, or email.

Get a verification code and sign in with two-factor authentication - Apple Support

or

If you didn’t receive your verification or reset email - Apple Support

Else: It may help to restart your iPhone (deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update the recent Account password change wherever it is used, and more, often restores order if something is not working as expected.)
