Mail app is not working on my iPhone 15 after iOS 18.5 update

Interesting. I have not had a black screen, but suddenly my accounts stopped downloading emails for a couple of days. Just on iPhone - my iPad continued to receive them. Once saw an error that the Google imap server was not responding, so I deleted my Google account an re-enabled. That didn't work. Restarted the phone, and after an hour or so the account downloaded emails again. So far so good, but sounds like something is flaky with iOS 18.5 Mail.app.

Mine either gives a white screen with no text at all, or shows the 'All inboxes' with the rest all white screen.

It can look like that for minutes, even after exiting and restarting the Mail app.

Sometimes it is better after a reboot of the phone, but usually not.

It started last week for me. I think I updated a while before that.

Same mine was just freezing at first first but has been locked out for dayssss. I’m going crazy. It logged out of all my accounts and won’t let me log back in… just keeps going back to the login screen. 😭🆘

I tried resetting network and reinstalling my email account. The problem keeps happening intermittently. Power on and off works temporarily. I’ll try the airplane mode. Come on Apple, get this fixed.

Ever since I updated to 18.5, I have had this problem. I have tried everything and been on with Apple for hours and days…. Been about a month now and still no fix…. I can get my mail via online or my MacBook, but not my iPhone…. So frustrating…

Same issue. iOS 18.5 update yesterday, stuck email, now black screen after removing then reinstalling app. Starting to impact other apps as well with slowdown.

As of 6-5-2025 at 8am mine is not working and hasn’t been for like 2 days!!!

This worked for 15 minutes. Now not working again. Any other suggestions?

When I go to the App Store it simply gives me an option to open the mail app - no option to update nor info on which version of mail it is.

What else do you lose on reset? This usually causes me more problems than it fixes.

I am having the same issue on my iPhone 13 since the 18.5 update. Lockup in mail and I have to reboot to free it up. Why and fixing?
