How can i get my iphone alarm to sound in my airpods?

I found many answers to similar questions asking about earphones claiming that alarms should sound on both the iPhone and in the earphones.

But it’s an easy test and the alarm definitely does not sound in my noise-canceling AirPod pros. It is only audible on the iPhone (currently running iOS 18.5).

Is it possible to have it sound alarms only in the AirPods (or both)?
