Does anyone know how to control the time the iPhone Lock Screen remains on display, before fading out. I don't mean prolonging the display of the Home Screen by using AutoLock. (It appears AutoLock does not control the display of the Lock Screen, only the Home Screen.) Thanks.

There is no setting for this. It's not meant to stay active very long. If you don't act by opening your phone when the lock screen opens, your phone automatically closes this to protect you from someone trying to access your phone.
It appears for me that the time on the Lock Screen before it turns off/dims is 10 seconds. I do not believe there is a setting to change that, otherwise it could be left on and drain a lot of unnecessary battery and as lobsterghost1 states, a security vulnerability. But if you have Attention Awareness turned on and look at your Lock Screen, it should stay on until you look away.
