Satellite connectivity message showing up on multiple phones when only one is out of cellular range

I have three phones on my icloud account (two using verizon and one using ATT). One of the phones was out of range of service and I could see that "x is only connected via satellite" when I sent a text message to them. But I also saw the same message when I sent a text to the other person on my account and someone told me they saw that message when sending me a text message.

Question is, why does the connected via satellite message show up on all my phones when only one is actually out of range?

iPhone 13, iOS 18
