App Store asking password for a different email while downloading apps

When I tap the App Store icon and try to update an app I’m asked to provide a password for an email address that is not linked to my account? My email address shows correctly on iPhone and all other devices but I am still being asked to provide password for a different email address…?

Assuming that you ARE logged in to the App Store using your Apple Account … ??? …

Sounds like your phone was previously used by another individual - apps downloaded and installed - and then the phone not properly prepared for your use.

Your only option to stop the nag screens is to remove the offending app(s) and re-download using your Apple Account.
