Apple Pencil Lagging Across Multiple Different Apps

My Apple Pencil keeps lagging in a weird way. Every time I use it, it creates these cuts/gaps in my lines. It’s not caused due to pressure, brush, or app because it happens no matter which brush or app I use and how much or little pressure I use. Even if it’s full on battery or light on battery it still does this. I don’t know what to do anymore with it. Maybe it is just getting old? I’m scared of spending the money to get a new one and the problem doesn’t go away…

For now, is there anybody who recognizes or knows what this problem is or how to fix it? I would really, really appreciate it! Thanks!
