How do I remove flashing lights around the edges of my iPhone after updating to iOS 18.5?

My phone was fine, Apple iPhone 15 plus until I updated today to ios18.5 now I get flashing colored lights in the borders of my phone when talking to Siri

Can I delete this setting or repair. it would be greatly appreciated if someone could help me with this thank you and have a nice day even if you just have advice that would help.

Hi momluvstv, this is the new look for Siri and correct behaviour, a replacement for the old style orb at the bottom of the screen. Apple has made an update to Siri to display in this way now so it’s not an error and doesn’t need repairing. It will function the same as the old version but now also offers to ask ChatGPT for an answer for you if Siri doesn’t know how to answer your question.

If you don’t want Siri, you can disable Siri by going to ‘Settings -> Apple Intelligence & Siri -> Talk & Type to Siri -> Off’ and on the same page turn off ‘Press Side Button for Siri’ and ‘Type to Siri’.

That is Siri's new interface with Apple Intelligence. But I believe you mean an iPhone 16 Plus as stated in your tagline and not a 15? Because the iPhone 15 Plus does not support Apple Intelligence.
