My Apple Pencil Pro is not working on iPad mini even when connected and fully charged

Pencil pro is fully charged. Shows connected in settings. It does not do anything. Has been doing on and off since I received a few weeks ago. It has completely stopped. Does not work for any app or scrolling

Ensure that the replaceable plastic pencil tip is screwed firmly into the body of the Apple Pencil; even a slightly loosened tip will cause issues. When correctly positioned, there should be a tiny gap (of about the thickness of a sheet of paper) between the tip and the body of the Pencil.

Alternatively, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed on your iPad, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:
