How do I find the folder with the note in the Notes app?

I can't find a way to tell what folder a note is in (in the notes app). I can search for an individual note, and find it, but it doesn't tell me where the note is.

Right now, I want to put another file in the same folder as an existing note, but for that, I need to know what folder the existing note is it, and I cannot figure out how to do this.

I'm on mac, but happy to do this on iPhone, if that's what it takes.

Ok, I found one clunky work around.

In the search results, right click on your note, and select "move to". Notes will present a scrollable list of all folders. In this list, the folder that contains the note will be greyed out.

Note that some other things may be greyed out, like smart folders.

I have about a hundred folders, and this only takes seconds.
