New phone with Sequoia

I heard something that I wanted to verify with the experts. I have a computer that's running Sequoia. It's end of the line. It won't update to the next macOS. In the fall if I want to buy a new phone, it won't be able to sync with the Sequoia system. To buy a new phone I also have to buy a new Mac?

Is that true?

Thanks very much.

I haven't heard that. I doubt that's the case. I could be wrong, but I doubt it. You should probably be able to sync a phone on iOS 26 with any supported version of macOS. Besides, if they follow their historical release schedule, iOS 26 and new phones will be released a month or 2 before macOS 26. I wouldn't think they would release a phone that would be unable to sync with the current version of macOS at the time.
