You cannot get a virus simply by accepting an Airdrop on iPhone, it’s only used to share content. I suggest you set Airdrop to “Contacts Only”, so only people you know in your contacts menu can Airdrop to you. I also suggest you report this to the appropriate school administrators.

Hello,

It is usually uncommon to receive a virus directly from airdropping of image or video contents, as there would be an .exe or .exec file be tied to that content in order for it to work, and iPhone has a “sandbox” like system that would prevent you from directly running those files on your phone. However, if you are afraid of receiving inappropriate contents, try setting your AirDrop settings to “contacts only” or turn it off during times not using it. By turning off AirDrop(with bluetooth), you can also save battery by a small amount since your phone does not need to scan for nearby devices. Chose “reject” whenever an unknown user sends you a random content.

If you ever received any informations through AirDrop that your phone is “hacked” or has a “virus”, this is unlikely the issue and the content is a scam. Delete the content immediately or reject from receiving it. Turn off your wireless internet connection if needed and close all suspicious applications. You may contact customer support or the discussion board if otherwise.
