Remote App on iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 not connect to Apple TV, while it works with an older iPhone

I don't know when it stopped working as I use Remote App only occasionally but now that I have iOS 18.5 it just never finds the Apple TV and older iPhone running older iOS works as always.

Has new iOS somehow screwed things up? Setting up Apple Remote App - Apple TV connection has been the easiest thing in the world so I don't think I could have done something wrong.

Verify that your iPhone is connected to the exact same home network (segment) as that the Apple TV box is connected to. The software remote won’t work over cellular.

If your router is set up to have multiple Wi-Fi SSID network names (e.g. for various frequency bands), the only devices connected to the exact same network segment can communicate with each other.

It is recommended to set yup your network with one SSID network name for all bands combined, for best interoperability, and let devices connect using the Wi-Fi band of their choosing. Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support
