I am constantly getting texts from a particular area codes. Is there a way to block that particular area codes?

No. You will have to block the numbers individually. Are you getting the texts on iMessage? If so, when you block them, you can report them as spam.
SMS is a carrier feature.
Apple has no control over SMS or phone calls.
