How to fix the yellow microphone dot that won't disappear on my iPhone 12 Pro?

I cannot make the yellow dot in my camera app icon disappear. I’ve tried toggling off all of the apps that access the camera and microphone, closing all background apps, turning off accessibility features (they were never on), toggling off Bluetooth access and restarting my iPhone 12 Pro Max three times. My iPhone iOS is up to date with the current version being iOS 18.5. What is the issue? Weirdly, the green dot at the top of the screen indicating that the camera is in use had appeared a little bit earlier (though I wasn’t using it), and I got it to go away by what I did (as explained above), but the yellow dot in the camera icon won’t go away. I read here on the Apple website that, since iOS 14, the light indicates current microphone use and is NOT a permanent thing on the app icon. What can I do to get it to go off? And, is my phone being hacked or is it a tech issue that I/Apple can fix?
