How do I locate my stolen iPhone 15 Pro Max?

I tried to track it with different devices and on fourth or sixth day since stolen, I received an email from “find my” that I can’t receive any more notifications on the movements of my device, meanwhile before such email, i was able to receive several updates on how the thief was tries to move with it from one point to another.

The only email I am aware Apple sends out is the “Find My has been Disabled” on your device. If you had a simple to guess passcode, the thief could have turned off Find My. Also make sure the message you received was not a scam attempt by the thieves. The thief could have turned on Airplane Mode if possible, powered it off, let the battery die, wrap it in tinfoil, put in a Faraday Pouch, the list goes on, but that would not send you a message.

Unfortunately if the location no longer shows, the odds of you locating your iPhone drops to slim to none. Sorry this has happened to you

The main Find My mechanism depends on your phone being turned on and having an Internet connection. If it has run out of power, it has no connection, or the thieves have blocked it’s ability to send and receive radio signals, you won’t get updates that way.

Find My Network can work even with the phone turned off, as long as it has some battery charge. However, it depends on another Apple device coming very close to your phone.

Your own other Apple devices are not anywhere close to the stolen phone, and cannot help to relay its location.

I thought that, with more than one apple device, a user can have an unlimited access to his/her device at any moment whether during theft or by even misplaced.

More thought needed.

Did you think about the fact that the battery might have run down on a stolen or misplaced phone and the phone has no power?

Did you think about the fact that the phone does not have an Internet connection where it is located, so it cannot forward information about it's location?

Did you think about the fact that iPhone thieves place stolen phones in a special type of small bag that will not allow the phone to either send or receive a signal?

Your statement is partially accurate. You are right in that a device’s owner always has access to check their device’s location in Find My, but whether that location is accurate or even can display will depend on a number of circumstances that Bob and I stated.

Trust me, this same situation happened to me a few months ago, my iphone 15 was stolen at a five below store near me. When I got home, I got on my fiancé‘s iPhone and went to the find my app and was able to locate it to a grungy motel where drug dealers hang out, but of course the police never found the phone and I ended up losing all of my pictures and everything and having to pay the 299 insurance deductible to get a new one. People are completely ruthless. This world has gone sad it’s pathetic. I hope you’re able to find it! Prayers sent

I’m sorry this has happened to you. It makes me sad to see these kinds of terrible people doing such acts. I hope you’ll have iCloud Photos at the minimum or Automatic iCloud Backups enabled so if this ever happens again, which I sure hope it doesn’t, at least you’ll have all your data and content to restore from. I’m sorry again.
