MacBook Pro fan making lot of noise when doing simple tasks

Hi guys, I have a 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro with 16 GB of RAM, and its fan makes a lot of noise even when performing the simplest tasks, like opening one or two tabs in Google Chrome.

The noise is so loud I can't concentrate. I’ve already taken it to an authorized service center, and they say the computer is functioning normally and that the fan noise is just a characteristic of this model.

But that can’t be right. This is my fourth MacBook, and I’ve never had this kind of experience before.

What can I do to fix this?

Thanks!

Consider downloading and running this little "discovery" utility, Etrecheck. It changes NOTHING. Etrecheck was developed by a senior contributor here, and uses mostly system calls and simple tests to collect often-needed information.

it contains little tests for speeds of devices, CPU utilization, memory usage, energy usage and a digest of recent problems, in one easy to use package. it does not even need to be Installed. Because less can be learned when your Mac is running great, best time to run is when your problems are actually occurring, if possible.

if you follow the directions faithfully, its report (pre-laundered of all personally-identifiable information) can be "Shared" to the System ClipBoard, then Pasted into an ‘Additional Text’ window in a reply on the forums.

Use Etrecheck Pro for free:

http://Etrecheck.com

then start a reply on the forums, click the 'additional text' Icon and PASTE

"Mac Fan making a lot of noise"

-------

Fixing and Avoiding Loud Mac Fan Noise:

Some thoughts...

A. Go Here:  View memory usage in Activity Monitor on Mac. See what is using lots of memory and processor usage. Close whatever it is.

B. Reset your SMC and your NVRAM:

Sometimes changes are made to the system and then settings (i.e. for power) become manipulated, in the technically. So, reset both on your Mac.

C. Clear Your Temporary Internet Files (History and Cache)

D. View Login Items:

Go To: System Preferences > Users & Groups > Click your Username > Login ItemsRid of Items that are Not Needed

E. Close Non-Responding Programs:

Go To: Finder Menu > Force Quit... > Select An Item Open that is "Not Responding"
