Cancel Duolingo subscription after accidental purchase, but still keeping expiration date one year?

Canceled in my settings – subscriptions, like I have done several times for Duolingo and had no issues. This time it still charged me for the annual subscription and though it shows it’s canceled, it shows one year from now as my expiration date

I have tried to go into Apple subscriptions and settings, neither will get rid of this charge. How do I get rid of the charge?

iPad, 18

If you got an email receipt and there's a 'Report a Problem' link in it, use that; otherwise, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff for a refund.

Cancelling a subscription turns off automatic renewal. It doesn't grant a refund or immediately end a paid membership.
