iPhone 16 Pro Max charges . But it’s not recognized as a device when connected with USB. C

I recently started having trouble with my iPhone playing audio via the USB-C. It charges fine and I’ve switched cable’s numerous times but it’s not recognized as an audio device via the USB port in my Chevy truck as it used to. And it’s not recognized as a device when I plugged into my laptop. Again, the phone charger is just fine. Any help greatly appreciated.

Make sure that the cable you are using is for both data and charging. Sounds like you may be using a charging only cable. There are differences when looking at 3rd party cables. Have you tried using a genuine Apple cable?
